01. Information Collection
In our capacity as a leading firm in quant advisory, we prioritize the principle of data minimization. We only collect the specific data points necessary to execute institutional services, optimize our trading system performance, or meet Malaysian regulatory requirements.
Direct Engagement
Names, corporate email addresses, and phone numbers provided during the consultation request process or onboarding.
Technical Telemetry
IP addresses, browser configurations, and access logs utilized strictly for platform security and load balancing of our analytical frameworks.
02. Processing Intent
- Execution of advisory contracts and strategy deployment.
- Legitimate interests in securing proprietary trading systems.
- Compliance with MyCC and relevant financial oversight bodies in Kuala Lumpur.
03. Security Architecture
Our firm employs institutional-grade encryption for all PII (Personally Identifiable Information). We utilize AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Access to client data is strictly limited to authorized engineers and analysts on a "need-to-know" basis, verified through multi-factor authentication.
04. Data Lifecycles
We retain data for as long as necessary to fulfill our service obligations. For transactional or trading-related data, Eastern Quant Advisors adheres to statutory five-year retention periods as mandated by financial regulations in Malaysia. When data is no longer required, it undergoes a cryptographic erasure process to ensure no recovery is possible.
Your Rights
Under global standards (including GDPR and PDPA frameworks), you retain the following rights regarding your information:
- Right of access and verification
- Right to rectification of inaccuracies
- Right to erasure ("Right to be Forgotten")
- Right to data portability
Third-Party Transfers
We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information to external marketers. Data is only shared with trusted partners (e.g., cloud hosting or clearing houses) that adhere to equivalent security standards. Full list of sub-processors is available upon request through our Client Portal.
